Considering what an awful year 2020 has been for all, it has been a stand-out year for music, with plenty of great new tracks to keep us going through lockdowns and restrictions.
We recently documented our Top 10 Albums of 2020, which was a hard enough job in itself. However, narrowing down the Top 10 singles of this year was even more difficult, with some great tunes not quite making the cut.
Our top 10 includes mercury-nominated Lanterns On The Lake, Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker, rising Wigan indie band The Lathums and New Order bassist and co-founder, Peter Hook.
Also making the list are one of the most exciting news bands around at the minute in the shape of Working Men’s Club, who just miss out on the Top 5 this year.
Our Top 5 consists of indie stalwarts Courteeners, Oasis icon Liam Gallagher, Scotland’s rising stars The Snuts and winners of our Album of the Year, Biffy Clyro.
Who finished top? Scroll down to find out. Make sure you check out the full top 10 and let us know your opinions in the comments.
