Out this Friday, “Between The Moon and The Milkman” marks the first full-length musical endeavor from fast-rising folk singer-songwriter, Amelia Coburn.

“Between The Moon and The Milkman”, embarks on a journey from the vibrant streets of Mexico City to the depths of Soviet-era satire under the Atlas Mountains, with a necessary detour at Dublin’s esteemed Leprechaun Museum.

Her unmistakable voice and unparalleled storytelling prowess have positioned her at the forefront of a burgeoning wave of alternative folk talent.

Through a tapestry of songs and stories, Coburn’s North East roots loom on the horizon, marking this collection as truly remarkable.

Amelia commented: “I know it’s a cliché for an artist to say they’ve been on a journey… but I’ve truly been on several of them to reach the point of releasing my debut album. I spent almost two years working and living in Paris, St Petersburg & Mexico City – all while keeping my eyes and ears open to the sights, sounds & unusual characters inhabiting these lands that were once so unfamiliar to me.”

Amelia’s early ukulele demos caught the attention of BBC 6Music’s Mark Radcliffe and Tom Robinson, earning her national airplay and a plethora of festival slots.

Having earned accolades such as finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and Breakthrough Artist Award from UKE Magazine, Amelia ventured into the studio with producer Bill Ryder-Jones, known for his work with The Coral and others.

Together, they have crafted a rich tapestry of tales that traverse literature’s shadowy depths, late-night noir screenings, and journeys to distant lands, all underscored by evocative melodies ranging from European folk to baroque pop.

The new album is out THIS FRIDAY8th March!
