Ocean Colour Scene Add Newcastle Date For 2023 Tour

Iconic British indie rock band, Ocean Colour Scene have announced an additional date for their in-demand 2023 UK & Ireland tour, as they head to Newcastle’s O2 City Hall on December 20th.

It will be the final night of what looks set to be a sold out tour for the Birmingham group, with O2 and venue pre-sale going live tomorrow at 9am, followed by artist pre-sale on Thursday and general sale on Friday (more details at the end of the article).

Founded in 1989, OCS went on to release huge hits such as The Riverboat Song and The Day We Caught The Train, which still receive widespread airplay in 2023.

They have achieved 17 Top 40 singles in total, and have made a name for themselves on the live stage where their loyal fanbase turn out in big numbers every time.

Frontman, Simon Fowler commented: “After starting with a short run of dates in the summer, it’s going to be great ending the year on the road with Ocean Colour Scene, playing all the hits and more for some proper pre-Christmas partying with our fans who are the best in the land.”

Guitarist, Steve Cradock adds: “This feels like the first proper tour Ocean Colour Scene have done in years. Last year we managed six dates because of the World Cup, and the year before Covid was still scaring people, so we are going to make it something special. Roll up, roll up for the magical OCS Tour!”

You can sign up here by 5pm Wednesday to get access on Thursday from 9am: http://gigst.rs/OCS_signup, before tickets go on general sale at 9am this Friday (18th August), available from https://tix.to/OCS_ncl.
