Following the success of their Manchester, London, and Bristol “Get Ready” shows over the Easter weekend, Peter Hook & The Light will now embark on a full UK tour this November.
Once again, they will perform New Order’s 2001 album Get Ready in its entirety, alongside a powerful set of classics from the legendary Joy Division and New Order catalogues.
Originally released in 2001, the album peaked at #6 on the UK Albums Chart and #2 on the US Billboard Electronic Albums Chart.
It was also dedicated to Rob Gretton, the influential manager of both Joy Division and New Order, who passed away in 1999.
Hooky commented: “Get Ready was a honeymoon record. Looking back, it was a joy to make and I think it’s massively underrated. It separated the wheat from the chaff and led to a ‘New Order mk2’—more mature but less naive.
“Barney and I became a kind of ‘power couple’ in Manchester during its creation. Unfortunately, old issues resurfaced when we took it live.
“Still, we worked hard on that album, and I’m proud of what we achieved. I can’t wait to perform these songs—many for the first time ever. The Light will shine through… Get Ready!”
Since his 2010 revisit of Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures, Peter Hook has passionately honoured the full discography of both Joy Division and New Order.
His journey through iconic albums—including Closer, Power, Corruption & Lies, Low-Life, Substance, Technique, and Republic—has seen The Light perform over 800 shows worldwide.
The Easter shows in Bristol, London, and Manchester sold out, so be sure to act fast to avoid disappointment.
