Peter Hook & The Light’s “Get Ready” Dates This Month – Get Tickets Now!

There are less than three weeks to go until Peter Hook & The Light’s UK dates in Manchester and Bristol, and you can still get your hands on remaining tickets.

Hooky and co will perform the New Order album ‘Get Ready’ in full, alongside a selection of the most seminal tracks from the rich catalogues of both Joy Division and New Order.

New Order’s seventh album ‘Get Ready’ was released in 2001, reaching #6 in the UK album chart.

It featured popular singles such as “Crystal”, “Someone Like You”, and “60 Miles An Hour”, featuring guest appearances from the likes of Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie and Andrew Innes.

The record was dedicated to Rob Gretton, the manager of both Joy Division and New Order, who passed away in 1999.

Hooky commented: “Get Ready was a honeymoon record. Looking back now it was very enjoyable to make, and I think is massively underrated. It did sort the wheat from the chaff and led to a New Order mk2 which played better but had lost a naivety whilst gaining a maturity.

Barney and I became a ‘power couple’ in Manchester during the making of the record but, sadly, the old problems recurred when we came to play live. The writing was on the wall from then on. The two of us worked very hard to make this a great record and I think we succeeded.

I am looking forward to playing all the tracks, many of which have never been played live before. The Light will shine through … Get Ready!”

The Easter Bank Holiday Saturday will be Peter’s O2 Victoria Warehouse debut, and his biggest headline show in the city to date.

It will also be Hook’s first hometown show since his three-night Albert Hall residency in 2022.
