The fourth edition of the Launchpad Conference takes place this Friday (28th March) at Leeds Beckett University, and the final lists of speakers and panels have been unveiled.
This years, the event will partner with UD (United In Development), TRENCH, AIM (Association of Independent Music) and UK Music’s MAP (Music Academic Partnership) Network to deliver a day of music industry focused panel discussions, workshops, and advice sessions for emerging professionals.
The aim is to make music careers accessible at all levels, showcasing diverse pathways from industry leaders and providing attendees networking opportunities with key professionals, trade bodies, and talent organisations.
The likes of PRS, PRS Foundation, PPL, Musicians’ Union, Universal Music Publishing Group, TRENCH, Domino Recording Co., inside out, Beggars, and AIM have all now been confirmed for Friday’s event.
The topics will include supporting artists, mental health in music, music education, regional investment, funding, and sustainability, along with15-minute 1-2-1 speed advice sessions with industry experts.

So what is in store for attendees on Friday? Firstly, UD Presents: Community Building in DIY Culture – Powered by TRENCH, will explore how to independently grow online and offline networks with a “do-it-yourself attitude”.
Laura ‘Hyperfrank’ Brosnan will also cover curating your audience, utilising the latest ideas, and reshaping what community in music looks like in 2025.
Guest speakers will include Joseph ‘JP’ Patterson (Complex UK/ TRENCH), Malika Ferguson (artist/ This Sounds Write) and Dom Heslop (SlamBarz).
The Launchpad Conference 2025 is free to attend, and includes a lunch hosted by UK Music’s Academic Partnership.
There will be post-event networking drinks in collaboration with Whitelocks Ale House and Kirkstall Brewery, featuring an exclusive DJ set showcasing songs from the best Yorkshire artists by DJ Dan Lomax.
