2024 has been the year of comebacks in music, including a welcome return for UK hip hop duo, Rizzle Kicks.
Jordan Stephens and Harley Sulé returned with new singles “Javelin” and “New Sport”, taken from the forthcoming album, “Competition Is For Losers”, out February 14th via BMG.
Rizzle Kicks performed a sold-out KOKO headline show earlier this month – their first in almost a decade – and with more dates already in the pipeline, today they confirmed a huge outdoor show in Manchester.
As part of the annual Sounds of the City series of gigs, they will perform at Castlefield Bowl on Friday 11th July 2025.
Jordan commented on the new album: “We allude to the fact that we acted off the cultural encouragement and the reality of the time. I think now we’d like to believe that we’ve distanced ourselves from those just through experience.
“Not in a prescriptive way. But more like we did a lot of crazy stuff, but now we don’t, not just with Harley becoming a father and all the growth that comes with that role, but also in a larger sense as we get older we feel a responsibility to share our wins and our failures”.
Fans can pre-order the new album before 5pm on Wednesday 20 Nov for a chance to access the show pre-sale 24 hours before tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 22nd November.
