As they gear up for their nearly sold-out UK & Ireland tour, The Slow Readers Club have unveiled the release date of their eagerly anticipated seventh album, Out of a Dream, and confirmed the lead single release, Technofear, out today!
Out of a Dream arrives on 14th March 2025, marking another chapter in the band’s sonic evolution.
The opening single sees the Manchester band tackling modern-day anxieties, addressing the societal and personal struggles brought on by technology and social media.
Frontman Aaron Starkie commented: “Technofear is about trying to hold onto reality in an era where we live so much of our lives online. Social media is a maze of information, where facts, half-truths, and outright lies all swirl together.
“On one hand, it offers unparalleled access to knowledge and viewpoints, but on the other, it amplifies misinformation and conspiracy theories, spreading them at a rapid pace.
“As algorithms prioritize sensationalism over truth, the line between fact and fiction blurs, leaving us confused about what’s real. This chaotic environment makes the search for truth more challenging, replacing certainty with doubt.”
The album has been produced by Courteeners’ Joe Cross and will be available on vinyl, CD, and digital formats, with exclusive merchandise bundles and special fan events planned.
