The long awaited, highly anticipated news that Brooke Combe fans have been waiting for has arrived…
The Scottish artist’s debut album, Dancing At The Edge Of The World, will be released January 31st, 2025 via Modern Sky Records.
The big news is accompanied by a new single release in the shape of ‘The Last Time’, which debuted on Craig Charles‘ 6 Music show and follows last month’s title track.
Brooke commented: “This album is the most authentic piece of work I’ve done so far. After experimenting with a few different styles and working with different song writers, I decided to go back to my roots and work with my original team and created something that I genuinely love.
“We’ve created a real summer soul album. Recorded live to tape, it captures similar vibes to all my favourite old soul records, and delves into themes relating to love, toxic relationships (no surprises there), as well as exploring escapism. Overall this album is raw, mean, groovy & emotional.”
The album was created in collaboration with The Coral’s James Skelly at Kempston Street Studios, wrapped up in six months as Brooke returned to familiar surroundings following a label exit.
Brooke Combe will return to the city for a special date at The Arts Club on Friday December 13th.
