Manchester group, IST IST are set to release their eagerly anticipated fourth album, “Light A Bigger Fire”, on Friday, September 20th.
The album follows their acclaimed record “Protagonists”, which garnered support from the likes of Radio X, BBC Radio 1, and 6Music.
IST IST have a formidable reputation off the back of their intense live shows, a fierce DIY work ethic, and a growing catalogue of successful studio and live releases, all self-released through their Kind Violence Records imprint.
Joe Cross, known for his work with Courteeners, Hurts, Louis Tomlinson, and The Slow Readers Club, lent his production skills to this record.
Singer, Adam Houghton commented: “Right now this is the best version of us. We’ve always been proud of every album we’ve released but sometimes you come away and wonder whether you’ve left anything in the studio and whether you could have dragged something extra out of some of the songs. Not with this one.
“The album title isn’t cryptic in the slightest. Everything we’re doing and have been doing for a while now is going up a level. Live shows have always been our calling card but this record puts our studio output on a par with them.”
The autumn tour supporting “Light A Bigger Fire” includes major shows at New Century Hall in Manchester and the iconic Paradiso in Amsterdam.
The band will also explore new territory, performing for the first time in Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, and Poland.
Earlier this year, IST IST played to over 8,000 people across nine countries in March and April, selling out prestigious venues in the Netherlands and Germany.
