The Vaccines have announced a new set of UK tour dates for October & November, following their summer arena shows with Kings of Leon.
This announcement comes after the band’s successful UK tour earlier this year in support of their new album, Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations.
The record is a vibrant collection of 10 songs, each brimming with hooks, melodies, and pop sensibility, all packed into just over half an hour.
Frontman, Justin Young commented: “It’s about loss. And coming to terms with that loss — not necessarily grieving for it, but trying to get a new understanding of it. I don’t just mean in a romantic sense.”
“I think we’re euphoric and melancholic in equal measure. I think we’re very direct, and I think this record sounds quite classic and simple, but hopefully of its time as well.”
The band will be playing tracks from the new record along with some of their staple indie dancefloor hits, such as “If You Wanna” and “I Can’t Quit”.
Their tour includes stops at Lincoln, Coventry, Middlesbrough, and Scarborough.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 2nd August, full dates are listed below.
