Embrace commemorate the 20th anniversary of their blockbuster “Out of Nothing” album with an 11-city UK tour in November.
They will perform the entire record, alongside their greatest hits.
The tour follows their massive Leeds show at Kirkstall Abbey in July, where Embrace premiered the full album to a crowd of 6,000 fans.
The event featured support from Ocean Colour Scene, Ash, Sleeper, and CUD.
“Out of Nothing”, released in September 2004, marked a pinnacle moment in Embrace’s career, debuting at number 1 and achieving double platinum status in the UK with over 600,000 copies sold.
The album’s success was fuelled by hit singles like Gravity and Ashes.
Produced by the renowned Youth, “Out of Nothing” was Embrace’s fourth studio album, released on Independiente Records after the band’s departure from Hut Recordings.
Forntman, Danny McNamara commented: “I really can’t believe it’s been 20 years since we released the album. It was such a key moment in the life of the band, and the lives of us as individuals.
“The band took day jobs to keep going, we had no choice, but we believed in ourselves, and we believed in the songs we were writing. That’s where the album title comes from, we had nothing, but out of that we were determined to build something great.”
“The fact that we managed to do that, and the fact that the fans were still there for us when we came back after being dropped by Hut is what makes this album so special to us. We’ve waited 20 years to celebrate the record, now’s the time!”
