The latest stars from the musical breeding ground of Leeds, English Teacher, have announced their largest UK headline shows yet for winter 2024.
It features debut performances at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Manchester’s O2 Ritz, along with additional gigs in Bristol, Glasgow, and Newcastle.
These shows come hot on the heels of the release of their highly anticipated debut LP, “This Could Be Texas” scheduled for April 12th via Island Records.
The band’s remarkable rise reaches new heights with a sold-out UK tour this spring, building on their electrifying debut on Later With…Jools Holland last autumn.
English Teacher have also been named the Official Independent Venue Week Artist Ambassador for 2024, joining the esteemed ranks of past ambassadors such as Wolf Alice, Arlo Parks, Wet Leg, and Beabadoobee.
Having already conquered a massive European tour alongside Irish group SPRINTS earlier this year, as well as lead singer, Lily Fontaine’s DJ slot at the BBC 6 Music Festival in Manchester, English Teacher solidifies their position as influential figures in the burgeoning indie scene ahead of their album debut.
Speaking ahead of their tour announcement, the group commented: “The biggest headline shows of our lives. Never expected to make it past the barrier.”
Pre-order any ‘This Could Be Texas’ LP bundle from the band’s official store by midday on Tuesday April 9th for pre-sale access to their UK tour this November.
