It is that time of year again. No, not Christmas just yet, it is festival announcement season, when UK and European festivals begin to unveil their lineups for the coming year.
It has been a slow start to say the least, but we think a certain festival in Portsmouth could be about to save the day.
Taking place from 23rd-25th August on the stunning Southsea seafront, the multi-award winning Victorious Festival has announced a huge first wave of artists, including four headliners.
The UK’s biggest metropolitan festival has never disappointed on the lineup front, but this year they take things up a notch, with one of the UK’s best live bands closing the festival in Biffy Clyro.
The Kilmarnock trio join Fatboy Slim, Snow Patrol, and Jamie T as Victorious 2024 headliners, with the likes of Courteeners, Wet Leg, Pixies, and IDLES all heading to Portsmouth for the August bank holiday weekend.
Whether you are a fan of pop, rock, indie, post punk, or dance, you are catered for on this stacked lineup, comprising some huge names in music and many of the most hotly tipped emerging UK Artists.
The comedy lineup also provides an alternative to the plethora of music options, with popular comedians, Russell Howard, and Frankie Boyle, providing the laughs as Friday and Saturday headliners.
Speaking about today’s announcement Andy Marsh, Lead Booker at Victorious, said: ‘‘This is the first year we’ve released all our headliners at once and we’re thrilled to be able to announce the acts after months of planning.
“Victorious 2024 is going to be bigger than ever and it’s not just the headliners people need to look out for, we have booked hundreds of acts across the weekend spanning multiple genres. We can’t wait for August, it really will be a year to remember!”
Early bird tickets for Victorious Festival are on sale now with weekend camping tickets from just £180 and day tickets from just £65 (fees apply) – victoriousfestival.co.uk
