The nostalgic live return of Canadian pop-punk star, Avril Lavigne, has been confirmed for 2024, with European shows announced and a strong Glastonbury rumour circulating.

But one of the most eagerly anticipated performances of the tour is sure to be her Sounds of the City appearance at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl, with tickets released tomorrow.

Avril Lavigne will play one of Manchester’s finest outdoor venues on Wednesday 3rd July 2024, with support from a very special guest – multi-platinum pop-punk group, Simple Plan.

Lavigne has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, with 12.5 million units sold in the U.S. alone, and collected eight GRAMMY® Award nominations along the way.

Her multitude of high charting global hits include “Sk8er Boi”, “Girlfriend”, “Complicated” and “I’m with You”, which you can expect to hear in a hit-filled set in Castlefield next year.

And all of Avril’s success isn’t restricted to the past, having recently collaborated with All Time Low for their new single, “Fake as Hell”, following her seventh studio album release in 2022 with “Love Sux”.

The latest record featured guest appearances from Machine Gun Kelly and Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, so you can expect to hear some fresh material next year too.

Tickets go on sale Friday 1st December at 9am and will be available from  www.gigsandtours.com  /  www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
