Since making his name as a child busker on the streets of Manchester, singer-songwriter Alex Spencer has been in the northern music spotlight from a very young age.
And as he leaves behind his school years for pastures new, the talented 16-year-old has released his brand new single, Do What I Wanna, out now on Modern Sky UK.
Alex commented: “Do What I Wanna is almost a protest song, about how a new generation is slowly waking up to see the obvious inequality and corruption in this world.
“Big corporations to governments are taking advantage of us for their own greed. I’m hoping we’re gonna stand up and not let them take advantage of us anymore.”
With confidence surpassing his years, Spencer’s One Way Ticket single caught the ears of many earlier this summer, and as he jets off to Italy following a sold out show at Manchester’s 33 Oldham Street, the future is looking bright.
He is now signed and sealed under the guidance of Modern Sky UK, the original home of The Lathums and Jamie Webster, and already has Sky Sports, BBC 6 Music, and XS Manchester backing at just 16 years of age.
Alex Spencer will be playing the new songs live at the iconic Deaf Institute for another hometown headline show on Friday 24th November.
