86TVs Announce Debut Headline Tour

Following the release of their long-awaited debut single, Worn Out Buildings, last week, the latest supergroup on the block have now unveiled details of a UK tour.

86TVs comprise Felix and Hugo White (The Maccabees), younger brother Will (BLANc), and Jamie Morrison (Stereophonics, The Noisettes), and this project has been brewing slowly over the course of the last five years.

New music has been floated about at live shows supporting the likes of Jamie T, and Steve Lamacq finally debuted the track on BBC Radio 6 Music last Thursday.

Hugo commented on the new single: “‘Worn Out Buildings’ is about the importance of validation in being off track, with the reassurance that you’ll get back there in time, as a different person, one built on everything you’ve been through. And we’re all united in that.”

With Hugo becoming a father and producing albums for Jamie T and Jessie Ware, Felix co-hosting the hit Tailenders podcast and writing a Sunday times bestselling memoir, and Jamie touring with the Stereophonics, there has been no rush in getting back into the musical limelight.

But now the time is right, recording out of their Wandsworth studio HQ under no real pressure, several years on from The Smiths’ iconic guitarist, Johnny Marr encouraging the group to get the new music out into the public domain.

Of course, new music releases go hand-in-hand with an official tour, and 86TVs have wasted no time in announcing their first headline tour, taking place next month.
