CHVRCHES lead singer, Lauren Mayberry announced last week that she would be heading out on a debut solo tour, with four UK dates confirmed for October.
The Scottish singer-songwriter will visit Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, and London on these shores, with tickets officially going on sale for the European dates this week.
Lauren has also confirmed that new solo music is on the horizon, with collaborations set to be revealed in the near future, as she looks towards the future in the 10th anniversary year of CHVRCHES’ breakthrough debut record, The Bones of What You Believe.
Lauren Mayberry commented: “For a long time, I couldn’t imagine ever doing anything outside of CHVRCHES. But as I sail / stumble through this era of my life, it has started to feel like there are things I want to write and say and do that need to be done on my own.
“This solo project, I hope, will be my fun, freaky, sad, weird, joyful pop playground and I am so looking forward to sharing it with you.”
With over 1.7 billion global streams to date, CHVRCHES have never been bigger than they are right now, and hopefully the solo career follows the same impressive path.
