Jodrell Bank Observatory will once again host the wonderfully unique Bluedot Festival in July, as the multi-award winning Cheshire event celebrates the best in music, science, and cosmic culture.
In the latest announcement, Bluedot have confirmed a programme of talks, panels, and performances to celebrate Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary.
The location is no stranger to the popular science fiction series. Jodrell Bank was the setting for the fourth Doctor transition, when Tom Baker passed the baton to Peter Davison in 1982.
Taking place from 20th-23rd July, and as part of the Doctor Who theme, Bluedot will welcome the Radiophonic Workshop‘s brand new live show, Dawn of the Doctors.
There will also be a series of talks and panels curated by writer, actor and renowned Doctor Who expert, Toby Hadoke, who will be in conversation with Robin Ince, the co-host of Radio 4’s award-winning Infinite Monkey Cage.
The likes of Black Country New Road, Grace Jones, Django Django, and Young Fathers will be providing the music entertainment at the festival, alongside a whole host of artists (see below).
