Ahead of their UK tour this year, rising cross-genre punk outfit, Millie Manders and the Shutup have revealed details of a brand new single, out next week. Rebound will be released on Tuesday, February 14th, to coincide with Valentine’s Day. However, this isn’t your traditional love song by any stretch of the imagination…
This is an ‘anti-Valentines song’ and an ‘ode to toxic online dating’. The message is clear and speaks to those who have been deceived in the past. Millie commented: “Rebound reflects my experience with online dating, but most people I have spoken to have had similar and worse experiences with it. I wanted to write a song that was in solidarity with those on the receiving end of a rebound relationship and let them know they were never the problem.”
Fans will be able to hear the new track brought to life on stage when the band head out on their UK tour dates in April. Kicking off at Manchester’s Punk Festival on April 9th, Millie Manders and the Shutup will also visit York and Settle during their eight-date tour.
This follows three rescheduled headline dates from towards the end of last year which had to be postponed due to illness. They take place this week, including a date at Manchester Star & Garter on Sunday 12th February.
2022 saw the band’s reputation as one of the UK’s most promising live acts strengthen, touring with Less Than Jake alongside numerous impressive headline dates. Why not see what all the fuss is about? Tickets are available from: https://millie-manders.com/
