Deaf Havana Announce Intimate UK Dates

Deaf Havana have confirmed a string of intimate UK tour dates alongside a brand new album, “The Present Is A Foreign Land”, out July 15th. They will be visiting Banquet Records (Kingston) on release day, with further dates including Liverpool, Leeds, and Sheffield.

Despite initially breaking up as we headed into the COVID-19 pandemic, the alternative rock group, who boast three Top 10 albums, decided to carry on as a duo and are back on top form following the release of latest stripped back single, “Nevermind”. It followed popular singles, “On The Wire”, “Kids”, and “Going Clear”.

Speaking about the new track, frontman, James Veck-Gilodi commented: “Nevermind is the second song we wrote for The Present is a Foreign Land and it is maybe my favourite on the record. This song is about the back end of 2019/first few months of 2020, which was pretty much the lowest point of my life to date. I tried to channel that emotion into the vocals when I recorded it. We tried to keep it simple on this with mainly keys, guitar and strings to really let the lyrics come through. This one means a hell of a lot to me so I really hope people connect with it!”

With the smaller in-store dates likely to be packed out with fans, you can also catch Deaf Havana on their full UK headline tour later in the year, along with their forthcoming headline set at Burn it Down Festival in Torquay (September 3rd). This follows the band’s triumphant headline performance on the Rock Sound Stage at Slam Dunk Festival and special guest slots for Don Broco.
