The Snuts Announce New Album: Single, Tracklist & More!

One of the most exciting bands in the UK right now, The Snuts have announced their eagerly anticipated follow up to the number 1 debut record, “W.L.”. “Burn The Empire” will be released on October 7th via Parlophone Records, with new single “The Rodeo” released alongside the announcement, premiering as Clara Amfo’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’.

The West Lothian four-piece are going from strength to strength, with a Glastonbury appearance recently confirmed alongside a support slot with Kings of Leon on the back of strong singles, “Burn The Empire”, “Zuckerpunch”, and “End of the Road ft. Rachel Chinouriri”.

Frontman, Jack Cochrane commented on the latest taste of the second album: “’The Rodeo’ is about knowing that your life is more often than not completely out of your control. It is about finding merit in the madness and celebrating the journey and not just the destination. It is the musical equivalent of cowboys vs. aliens. We want it to encourage the feeling of absolute pure, inclusive escapism through guitar music.”

The new record has been produced by longtime collaborators Detonate and Clarence Coffee Jr, with Cochrane confirming themes such as mental health, poverty, corruption and politics throughout the album. He says: “The universe delivered us time to create a record where we finally felt we could address some of the topics, be it societal or spiritual, that we have been dying to scream out. There are songs about the highs & lows, stuff we really want to talk about and things we cannot help but feel, but have just never made the space to.
