Metronomy are back, confirming their seventh studio album towards the end of 2021 in the shape of “Small World”, out Friday 18th February through “Because Music”. The band will also be heading out on a European tour, including dates across the UK in April and May, where they can celebrate the release on the live stage.
The follow-up to 2019 record, “Metronomy Forever”, will feature “It’s Good To Be Back” and latest single, “Things Will Be Fine”, the latter described by frontman, Joe Mount, as a “sort of pseudo role-play therapy session in which we all re-visit our teenage selves”.
Metronomy’s European tour kicks off in Porto in March, but British fans will only have to wait until April 22nd for the band to arrive over here, beginning a 12-date UK & Ireland run at Glasgow‘s famous Barrowlands.
Their other northern dates include Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester, before the Devon five-piece conclude with a huge show at London’s Alexandra Palace on 7th May.
Support for the tour will come from Grove, Goat Girl, Hak Baker, Lynks, NZCA LINES, Pongo, Porij and Sparkling. You can get your hands on tickets HERE. Pre-order “Small World” here – https://www.metronomy.co.uk/
