Liverpool six-piece, Red Rum Club have raised the excitement for their eagerly anticipated forthcoming album with the release of a new single, ‘Love Me Like You Wanna Be Loved’. The latest track sees the band exploring yet another dimension of their constantly evolving sound, with the release arriving in the midst of a widespread buzz off the back of several impressive live performances.
With stand-out festival performances at the likes of Neighbourhood Weekender and Tramlines, along with support slots on tour with Circa Waves, 2021 is proving to be a real breakthrough year for Red Rum Club. This, alongside the stellar single releases of ‘Nightcalling’ and ‘Vibrate’, means the release of new album ‘How to Steal the World’ on Friday 22nd October can’t come quickly enough!
Speaking about the new single, frontman, Fran Doran commented: “This single is brazenly upbeat, allowing the echoes of pop, disco and funk’s past to shine brightly through into the form of a modern pop anthem. Our ambition was to create a nostalgia-tinged wall-of-sound with a passionate message of hope. What came out was an all-out sing along anthem, so – mission accomplished!”
