Manchester rapper, Bugzy Malone has confirmed a UK tour following the release of his latest album, ‘The Resurrection’ on Friday. The eight-date tour will see Bugzy perform for the first time at his native “0161” AO Arena, in what’s set to be one of the biggest shows of the Grime star’s career so far.
Bugzy Malone has been a trailblazing artist since bursting onto the UK scene with ‘Walk With Me’ back in 2015, becoming the first rapper from Manchester to achieve signfiicant commercial success from the genre. And he’s never been shy of paying homage to his hometown, with the phrase ‘0161 Manny on the Map’ becoming synonymous with the artist.
The latest album, described as his ‘most powerful and accomplished project to date’, features the tracks ‘Salvador’, ‘Welcome to the Hood’ ft. Emeli Sande, ‘Notorious’ ft. Chip, ‘Don’t Cry’ ft. Dermot Kennedy and ‘M.E.N III’. It has received widespread praise online since release and you can listen to the album HERE.
The tour will take place in November and December 2021, with the AO Arena show taking place on December 4th. This is set to be a huge weekend of homecoming music in the city, with Bugzy’s gig taking place the day after James and Happy Mondays perform at the venue. Tickets go on general sale at 9:00am on Friday 4th June and will be available from www.gigsandtours.com
