‘Make It Better’ is the highly anticipated new single from Yorkshire-born, Manchester-based, Sounds Like A Storm. Big things are expected this year from a band that have already sold out headline shows in Leeds, played support slots with The Blinders, Twisted Wheel and VANT, and played sets at Live at Leeds, Reading & Leeds and Bingley Weekender.
The new track sees the band at their exhilarating, gritty best, in a hit fuelled by irony. ‘Make it Better’ is a song about life and the things you love; the idea that for things to get better, you have to believe in something.
Frontman, Sennen Ludman says: “At the time I wrote this song my dad was in hospital, I wrote this tune one night in the month of January, it came from nowhere. I suppose lyrically I am picturing things I love, this escapism from hospital wards and the trauma of what I was going through. The juxtapositions bounce in and out throughout the song, this feeling of isolation and loneliness felt unusual at the time, but now for everyone in the world through the pandemic has become almost second nature.”
The track is an arena-ready anthem, and following its release next week we can’t wait to see Sounds Like a Storm perform this live. ‘Make it Better’ is a powerful, energetic rock hit, with the band well and truly living up to their name. It will be released on 23rd March!
